     About an hour north of Santa Barbara, California, through the rolling hills and beautiful vineyards along the 101, lies the small town of Orcutt in the Santa Maria Valley. Named after William Warren Orcutt, this little town, especially Old Orcutt, has always showcased an Old West vibe. Orcutt and Hancock, another familiar name from the area, discovered it was highly productive in the oil industry in the early 1900s. Since then, the town has grown. It has a population of 31,353, following a 2020 census. From this growth, many individuals have had success in the food industry.

     We are here to share our opinion of the top 15 outstanding eateries in Orcutt, California, so when you visit the charming town, you will know great places to frequent. My listing is as you enter Orcutt, from Clark, off the 101, and down into Old Orcutt. Our reviews are given based on food quality, how it tastes, prices, and customer service. The addresses, websites, and phone numbers are below each listing. When you click the company name you will be taken to their website, if they have one. Be sure to check the days and hours of when they are open. A few restaurants with high ratings, among customers, are not listed since we have not been to those yet. 

1. Blenders in the Grass

You can find many Blenders in the Grass along the central coast. They have this location in Orcutt, as well.  

They are supreme at making nutritious smoothies, very creamy and delicious. They offer a wide variety of blended drinks at a reasonable price.

2. The Golden Donut

In the same shopping center as Blenders in the Grass, you will see The Golden Donut.  

These donuts are fresh and delicious.  You will receive excellent customer service and have an enjoyable treat. You won’t be spending much either. 

3. Giavanni's Pizza

Across the street from The Golden Donut 

is Giavanni’s Pizza.  

This pizza place has delicious pizza and is a great location to relax and enjoy.  It is a favorite spot for locals and sports teams to come for awards night.  They also have arcade games to play.

4. Orcutt Burgers

Kitty corner from Giavanni’s Pizza, 

you will find Orcutt Burger. 

Orcutt Burger is a fast food place with a wide variety of burgers. They also serve breakfast and have great portion sizes.  We love the breakfast, the onion rings, and the fried zucchini. They also offer gluten-free buns.

 

5. Cubanissimo Cuban

Behind Orcutt Burger is Cubanissimo Cuban 

Coffee House & Cafe. 

It is a delicious coffee shop that is worthy of a visit. This cafe shows culture, has good customer service, and a menu full of food and drink items. My drink choice is the Habana Blended Coffee. Delicious!

6. Charlie’s Burger,

Into Old Orcutt, you will find Charlie’s Burger. 

Charlie’s Burger is delicious and almost everyone’s favorite! Good classic burgers, sandwiches, and chicken strips. They offer falafels, and french fries are a favorite. This is a long-time establishment with reasonable prices.

7. The Far Western Tavern

Once a favorite restaurant in Guadalupe is now 

a favorite restaurant in Orcutt.  

The Far Western Tavern is a well-established dining landmark for the famous Santa Maria-style barbeque. This beautiful restaurant has an outdoor eating area and is our favorite space to enjoy. However, for those cold nights, indoors is warm and inviting.  The food is delicious and is always high quality.  

8. Old Town
Mexican Cafe

Just down from The Far Western Tavern is Old Town Mexican Cafe. 

It is a favorite amongst those who live in Orcutt. They have delicious Mexican food, good service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Their prices are very reasonable. 

9. Kay’s Orcutt

 Across the street from Old Town Mexican Cafe, 

you’ll find this American diner. 

They are a beloved eatery for those near and far. Their service is attentive, the food is delicious, and they’ve been awarded the best breakfast for 19 consecutive years.  

10. Pizzeria Bello Forno

Right next door to Kay’s Country Kitchen, 

you’ll take notice of Pizzeria Bello Forno. 

They have a beautiful area set up out front for eating. Or you can enjoy eating inside and have fine dining in a great atmosphere. They have a good selection of pizza and offer a gluten-free crust option.  Along with pizza, their menu shows appetizers, soup & salad, sandwiches, and pasta. This restaurant gets busy, but they have good customer service!


11. Cups and Crumbs

Around the corner from Pizzeria Bello Forno, 

this coffee shop will be waiting for you.  

It is one of our favorite places to sit and enjoy some coffee, pastries, breakfast, or lunch.  They have dining in the back and seating inside if it’s too cold or hot. They have a wide variety of foods and drinks they offer. 

This coffee shop gets very busy!

12. Jack’s in Old Orcutt

Down from Cups and Crumbs is Jack’s restaurant. 

It offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. This restaurant serves delicious food and has a friendly atmosphere.  Jack’s is a favorite restaurant for the people of Orcutt and has been a landmark for over 50 years.

Pizza

13. Patricio's Pizza

Right next door, you’ll see Patricio’s Pizza. 

It is one of our favorite pizza places.  The pizza is always delicious, and the crust is soft. It can be pricey, but the pizza is thick and full.  It’s a meal, not a slice.

14. Trattoria Uliveto

Across the street and down the road from 805 

Eats is Trattoria Uliveto.  

It is an Italian fine dining establishment with indoor and outdoor eating areas.  The food is delicious, and the customer service is good.  The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is perfect.  They offer a good selection of Italian foods on their menu. 

15. Chef Ricks Ultimately Fine Foods

About 2 miles from Old Orcutt, off Foster Rd., 

you won’t want to miss Chef Ricks. 

Chef Ricks is a fun Louisiana-style restaurant with whimsical and lively decor. The food is out of this world good. A favorite is the Shrimp-Crusted Salmon, picture on the left.

The service is good, the prices are reasonable, and the food is gourmet.
